Chirripó Consultores consists of principal and affiliated consultants, who are specialists in the different disciplines required in our field.  Senior consultants each offer between 10 and 20 years of experience.

 

Leonardo Ramírez Leiva

Masters in Economy and Management (M.B.A.) from I.E.S.E., University of Navarra (Barcelona, Spain).  Civil Engineer from University of Costa Rica.  Short courses in Maastricht School of Management (The Netherlands), Babson College, Cornell University and Venture Capital Institute (USA). Formerly Regional Manager of Environmental Enterprises Assistance Fund (Washington DC), and General Manager of the first venture capital fund for environmental enterprises in Central America. Prior to that, he worked as financial analyst and civil engineer in different organizations in Costa Rica. He founded Chirripó Consultores in 2001 and since then has directed international consultancy projects.  Has been a member of the Center for Cleaner Production of Costa Rica and member of the Investment Committee of CAREC/E+CO venture capital fund, dedicated to funding renewable energy and energy efficiency projects in Central America.

 

 

Alejandro Delmar Saavedra

Energy Engineer from Universidad Autónoma Metropolitana, with degree in Project Management.  Has managed several international development projects in Mexico, Honduras and El Salvador, all related to energy efficiency.
Has performed more than 140 energy diagnostics since 1993 in different commercial and industrial sectors. Has taught 44 energy saving training courses and has coordinated the setting up of 50 energy saving projects, including different technologies. He is a consultant recognized by the  Energy Savings Trust (FIDE, Mexico), and is qualified to design energy saving projects. He is a member of the Border Energy Program and the Alliance to Save Energy. He presently is one of the consultants appointed by the Comision Federal de Electricidad (CFE) to train its in-house personnel  throughout Mexico.



 

Miguel Vallejo Solís.

Masters in Sustainable Tropical Agriculture from CATIE (Center for Agronomic Research and Education) University. Agronomist from University of Costa Rica. Studies in Project Management, Enterprise Creation and Entrepreneurship. Has held several managerial positions in environmental NGOs and higher education institutes. Was Secretary at the University for International Cooperation and Director of the Project Management Masters Program. He is currently a member of the Project Management Institute (PMI).  Has senior experience in the design, management and evaluation of projects related to sustainability, management of natural resources, environmental management, protected areas, sustainable tourism, solid waste management, corporate social responsibility programs, entrepreneurship, educational programs and research programs.  Has extensive experience in designing and delivering training programs using different approaches, including on-line education.  

 

 

Linda Powers Tomasso

Masters of Science in Foreign Service, Georgetown University.  Bachelors from University of Notre Dame.  Studies at Anahuac University (Mexico City), graduate coursework in Political Science at Yale University, on-going studies in Environmental Management at Harvard University Extension School focusing on sustainable development.  Early diplomatic career as a U.S. Foreign Service Officer, with postings in Costa Rica, Italy, and Washington DC. She currently works as private consultant specialized in research, issue analysis, and written assessments in the areas of economic development, sustainable practices, and political risk.  Has also served as advisor and on Boards of Directors to non-profits, cultural institutions, and international NGOs in sustainable economic and environmental development sectors.  Fluent in English, Spanish, Italian; working ability in French and Polish.
